Tiny Spaces, Big Skills

Join us for a Miniature Master Class and build an entire dollhouse room box from start to finish! In this five-part multi-skill workshop, you’ll begin by creating a room box pattern file using computer software and sending it to a laser cutting machine. Once your pieces are cut, you’ll assemble your room box and design every detail to fit your personal aesthetic—from wallpaper and flooring to chair seat fabrics and lampshade materials. You’ll also get an introduction to 3D printing software, designing a miniature planter and picture frame, and watching them print in class. Learn simple wiring to create a working, battery-powered table lamp to light up your scene. In addition, you’ll assemble a chair and cube bookshelf from furniture kits, make a miniature plant, and add final touches like books and a tiny tissue box. By the end of this class series, you’ll have a stunning, fully customized room box that showcases an impressive range of miniature-making skills to take home. The room box will measure 8" x 7" x 4" with 1/12th scale sized miniature furniture and accessories.
